L & B Electrical Contractors was started in 1993, and specializes in industrial and commercial electrical installations. L & B Electric currently employees over twenty electricians. There are five electrical superintendents having over 100 years combined experience in the trade, relating to buildings such as grocery stores, jails, research labs, sewer treatment facilities, power plants, schools, shopping centers, manufacturing plants, medical facilities, hotels and inns.

L & B Electrical Contractors, Inc. is experienced in renovation projects, and the list is quite extensive. We have successfully completed the electrical renovations of the Merrill Auditorium at Portland City Hall. Additionally, we supplied the project management and almost all labor and supervision for the E.T Gignoux Federal Courthouse in Portland, Maine. Both projects were historical renovations.

We have worked extensively in owner-occupied buildings including projects for LL Bean, Hannaford Bros., Proctor & Gamble and Liberty Mutual to name a few. All of this work was done with minimal impact on operations and no incidents or accidents involving customers and/or store employees.

L & B Electrical Contractors has done several design build projects. We have worked with several different engineering companies on these projects, depending on the complexity of the project. The Harraseeket Inn of Freeport was done in house on a design build basis. On several of the projects we worked closely with Hannaford Brothers Engineering department to provide support services and value engineering to the projects. In other projects such as for Proctor & Gamble, we brought in outside engineering expertise to insure a quality project. By taking this varied approach, we can provide the level of service and expertise needed depending on the complexity of the project thus saving money on the overall design costs.

We have tackled a considerable number of generator installations from 15 KW to 5.5 Megawatt. We have people trained in data installation, fiber optics, building automation and controls and just about every facet of commercial and industrial electrical construction and maintenance. We also provide 24-hour emergency service for our regular customers.
